MIDWIFE SERVICES:

    PRENATAL CARE    

 

Schedule of Visits:

- Begin around 10 weeks of pregnancy

- Monthly visits until 28 weeks - Biweekly visits from 28 to 36 weeks

- Weekly visits until delivery

 

 Lab Work:

- All labs are drawn in-office, including:

- Initial prenatal profile

- Optional genetic testing

- Glucose testing

- Group B Strep (GBS) testing

Prenatal Visit Details:

- Appointments last around 1 hour

- Assessments at each visit include:

- Blood pressure

- Baby’s heartbeat

- Uterine measurements

- Urinalysis and other needed labs

Ultrasounds:

- Non-diagnostic ultrasounds offered in-office at no extra charge

​

 Health & Wellness Support:

- Focus on optimal health for mother and baby

- Discussion of nutrition, stress management, and exercise

- Guidance on herbal and holistic remedies for pregnancy discomforts, including council on prescriptions when needed.

  HOME BIRTH CARE  

 

On-Call Support:

  - Midwives available 24/7 via phone or text starting at 37 weeks

  - Continuous contact and advice during early labor

 

Active Labor Support:

  - Midwife and experienced birth assistant arrive at home during active labor

  - Set up all necessary medications and supplies

  - Provide birthing tub, including set up and clean up if desired

 

Monitoring and Support:

  - Ongoing assessment of both mother and baby during labor and immediately postpartum

  - Personalized support, including guidance on labor positions and hands-on or hands-off care based on preference

 

After Delivery:

  - Facilitate skin-to-skin contact and delayed cord clamping

  - Offer breastfeeding support 

  - Suturing with lidocaine if needed

  - Conduct a full newborn exam, including:

  - Weight and measurements

   - Reflex testing

  - Administration of newborn medications if desired

  POSTPARTUM CARE  

 

Routine Postpartum Visits:

  - 24-hour check-in to ensure mother and baby are well

  - 48-hour home visit

  - Office visits at 2 weeks and 6 weeks postpartum

-Birth certificate, social security card, footprint keepsake

 

Baby’s Care and Screenings:

  - Metabolic screening at 48 hours

  - Critical Congenital Heart Defect (CCHD) screening at 48 hours

  - Weight gain assessment

  - Breastfeeding guidance and support

 

Mother’s Care and Recovery:

  - Ongoing assessment of physical and emotional well-being

  - Overall recovery monitoring throughout the postpartum period

 

6-Week Visit:

  - Well-woman care, including PAP test and family planning guidance

PRICING:

Home birth package fee:  $7,500

​

 -The practice operates on a self-pay basis. ​

​

-To support clients with private insurance, I work with Professional Birth Services, a billing specialist who assists in seeking reimbursement.

​

-We accept a variety of payment methods, including cash, check, HSA payments, Christian Medishare, credit card, and PayPal Credit. In-house financing options are also available to help make payments manageable.

 

-Please note that we do not accept Medicaid at this time.
